I must say that even as I get older, I never get tired of the simple traditions in life. One of those traditions is the Comal Country Fair and Parade. It is one of my favorite things and I look forward to it every year. I guess in some ways I feel like it kicks off my favorite time of year. I was in this parade all through elementary, junior high and even into high school. Then, even as Jonathan and I were dating and first married we made it a priority to be there. But this year was just amazing. It was so different than any other year because this year, Jayden was actually in the parade with her school. Its so neat to sit with your child and watch them experience the exact same things you experienced and in the exact same place. Does that make sense????? It did not matter that we sat on her school float in the scorching heat for 2 hours before it was finally our turn to go, we just had a blast.

Hi Jennifer,
I'm glad you have a blog and you are very creative, so don't worry about it. I have a blog, too. Its gmashaveheart.blogspot.com. You probably know that Andrea has one, too called himmelberger.blogspot.com. Don't go too far back reading hers, though, because it detailed Drew's surgery and would probably make you sad. Anyway, I will check your blog often and I think its really great that Jayden is experiencing some of the same traditions that you did.
Love, Anne
